5 background noise resources for freelancers working from home

If you work at home, you have probably already tried working in silence, while listening to business-related podcasts, TED talks, language courses, all kinds of music and Youtube videos of non-stop 16-hours-long ambient sounds such as rain, ocean waves, a zen garden… I usually go through all of them during the same day. I also enjoy working from a coffe shop one or twice a week and I always find this time to be ultra-productive. However, it is not always possible to work outside. Sometimes you need a bigger space than a cafe table to run your empire! That’s why I’ve gathered some background noise resources I use so you can feel that energy bursting murmur from your own desk. Enjoy and don’t forget to share!

 1. Coffitivity

Choose between “Lunchtime Lounge”, “University Undertones” or “Morning Murmur”. They even have a premium membership to access a wider range of sounds.

2. A Soft Murmur

A natural range of sounds such as “Rain”, “Wind”, “Crickets” or “Singing Bowl” you can use to create your own mix. “Coffee shop” available too, of course.

3. Rainy Cafe

What you read is what you get. “Rain” and “Cafe” to mix as you prefer by selecting a volume level for each one.

4. Soundrown

Similar to A Soft Murmur but including some other original sounds like “Train”, Playground” or “Night”. Owls and crickets to boost your creativity.

5. Noisli

Another one combining different sound sources but with the twist of color. Each time you create a new mix the site background color will match the sound feeling. They also include the Random functionality.
